The opening line shows “Field to Vase: Santa Cruz,” a documentary produced, written, and filmed by a team based in Los Angeles, husband and wife tandem – Haejung Kim and Hyunsoo Moon.
Last June, husband and wife Haejung Kim and Hyunsoo Moon traveled to Santa Cruz in search of a visual story that caught their imaginative imagination. They love the potential story of Field on the Vase Dinner Tour and want to document their movie observations.
The outcome of their initiatives was “Field to Vase: Santa Cruz”, a documentary about flowers grown in the United States and the men and women active in the flower renaissance that took place in the fields and in the florist throughout the country
The documentary of 7:39 minutes illustrates the history of the field in the vase, through the voices of flower farmers, the designer of flowers, the chef and the people who defend and enjoy the flowers grown in the United States.
Haejung Kim is a well-known graphic designer at ABC Entertainment for over a decade. Her partner and husband Hyunsoo Moon is a movie editor who worked on reality shows, documentaries, short movies, as well as music videos. The documentary “Field to Vase” was their very first project working together.
Getting to know the filmmakers:
Haejung Kim is a well-known graphic designer at ABC Entertainment for over a decade. Recently, she resigned from her job to continue in a dream: a road trip across the United States on an RV. She wants to pursue her passion – to explore nature, to experience new food, to learn about all sorts of gardening, and to get to know more about the world of art while having the chance to enjoy the country.
Hyunsoo transferred to Los Angeles four years back to commence a profession in publishing. He edits several projects, which includes reality shows, documentaries, short movies, as well as music videos. His latest work, a film documentary on the sexual challenge of Protestant Christians, was published on Vimeo. He recently started a journey to a country in a caravan with his wife.
